    Objectives of the Presentation

    Participants should be able to:

    • Appreciate the complexity as well as the limits of a thorough suicide or violence assessment.
    • Understand the principles of risk assessment and how to use them appropriately as part of an evaluation.
    • Learn to develop a working understanding of suicide and violence risk and how to organize appropriate treatment responses.
