        Take-Away Points of the Presentation

        1. The cornerstone of heart failure management remains diligent education, meticulous control of diet and fluid intake, and careful titration of evidence-based medications.

        2. Heart failure treatment options continue to expand, particularly in the form of implantable left ventricular assist devices, allowing patients to live longer with higher quality of life.

        3. Advanced heart failure patients benefit from inclusion in comprehensive heart failure clinics like the one we have now established at BID-Needham.
