      Take-Away Points of the Presentation

      1.) Make the workstation work for you, not the other way around.

      2.) Take frequent breaks, self-check your posture frequently.

      3.) Take care of any problems early; don't wait until you can't function.

      4.) Monitor your work/computer station at home as well as at work.

          

        Objectives of the Presentation

        Upon completion of the presentation, participants should be able to:

        1.) Define the meaning of Ergonomics.

        2.) Appraise the upper extremity anatomy and common overuse injuries.

        3.) Recommend proper workstation set up and posture.

        4.) Provide initial level of care for your patients.
